George's Traditional fish and chips .

I've been reading some of the latest reviews... I've been coming here for years and I'll drive past numerous other chippy's on my way to George's... The food is fresh and portions are fair. George is a character and likes a bit of harmless banter ( The person who left a 1 star reviews for what they believed was profanity really needs to wake up... We don't live in the 1920's where every word was taboo ) After many years of serving the community people know George and we like that he's not straight laced when we go in. The girls are equally just being friendly with a bit of a sharp tongue when customers try and take liberties like asking for free food..😆 (i'd have loved to have been there for that) Since before I can remember... This family has taken great pride in serving fresh and tasty food. The attention to cleanliness is second to none (The place is spotless) I especially liked it when they put up the Christmas decorations they are always stunning and make the shop look beautiful for the customers. Thank you all for many years of great food 😋

Ordered from here twice two weeks ago Just a random pop in but might be the first time I've actually enjoyed fish and chips. Would never order a curry from anywhere but had a chicken curry and chips the following day and it was awesome. Food is just super clean, fresh and doesn't make you feel like crap after. Staff are also super friendly too. Can't fault it.

I’ve been coming to this chip shop for over 10 years, and it never disappoints. This place feels like part of the community—and for me, it’s part of my routine. Highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates proper chips, friendly faces, and that little extra something you don’t find just anywhere.

Great food...and banter with George and the girls is always a delight. Plus the southern fried chicken is the best, my order isn't complete without a piece...FIVE STARS...

Highly recommend Georges fish and chips. The staff are amazing, the service is super friendly and efficient even during busy periods. Amazing prices wouldn't go anywhere else.

First time for a fish and chip tea from George's. Lovely clean shop and the food looked and smelled good. Served by a friendly young lady with plenty of banter and a warm smile, the legend George keeping watch. My order came promptly and I could see that the chips were perfect, nice golden colour all over and good and hot. Back at home we both said that the whole meal was amazing, cod and chips not at all greasy and the curry sauce is fab too. George's is going to be our new stop off place for our occasional Friday night takeaways even though it is further from home. Cannot fault anything, 5 Star service, 5 star food. Many thanks.
